Discover the Story of Woodstock

The History Center, located in the heart of Woodstock’s historic district, explains how Woodstock has evolved over the past 250 years from a frontier territory to the vibrant community that it is today. Visitors can tour the museum which features large collections of antiques and several new exhibitions each year.

In addition to its museum, the History Center has a library where researchers may view books, maps, genealogical and historical documents, and thousands of historic photographs. For those who prefer the outdoors, the Center has perennial gardens and a beautiful back lawn with a picture-perfect view of Woodstock Village’s only covered bridge. This space also features sculpture and interpretation about Woodstock’s past and other points of interest.
